Happy Birthday to your son. Thoses smiles say it all. Did you use a pan & bake the donuts or deep fry them. Donuts are something that I have yet to tackle. Allergy Mum - http://allergymum.blogspot.com/
Actually these are refrigerator biscuit donuts! Just take a tube of refigerator biscuits (we use one of the Pillsbury tubes that is dairy-free), poke a hole in center of each or cut out a circle using a plastic bottle cap (and fry these circles for donut holes!), then fry in hot oil until golden brown. Immediately roll in powdered sugar or a cinnamon sugar mixture. Yum!
I am the mom of 2 awesome boys. My youngest son has life-threatening food allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish. Both kiddos also have seasonal and environmental allergies, eczema, asthma, and a vision impairment called Ocular Albinism. "Life is a journey, not a destination".
Each year in the US there are approximately 30,000 anaphylactic episodes, involving about 2,000 hospitalizations and 150-200 deaths due to anaphylactic shock.
These pictures only represent a handful of those who have died due to fatal food reactions. To learn more about each individual, please click on the slideshow below. My heart goes out to all of their loved ones!
