Happy Halloween 2009!
This year for Halloween Brody was Ninja Boy (of course) with his trusty sidekick the Kungfu Pup and Josh dressed up as Dr. Josh, Pediatric Allergist!
Notice the black belt...don't cross the Kungfu Pup!
We had a great time at the annual Food-Free Fall Carnival put on by the Food Allergy Association of Wisconsin! The Blizzard Wizard and Tinkerbell stopped over to say "Hi"!
I am the mom of 2 awesome boys. My youngest son has life-threatening food allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish. Both kiddos also have seasonal and environmental allergies, eczema, asthma, and a vision impairment called Ocular Albinism. "Life is a journey, not a destination".
Each year in the US there are approximately 30,000 anaphylactic episodes, involving about 2,000 hospitalizations and 150-200 deaths due to anaphylactic shock.
These pictures only represent a handful of those who have died due to fatal food reactions. To learn more about each individual, please click on the slideshow below. My heart goes out to all of their loved ones!
