Recipe of the Week
Ahhhh, Autumn! Cooler weather, beautiful colors of the changing leaves, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and of course Halloween...so many reasons to enjoy this season! One of my favorite things about Fall though is the fact that our little fruit trees are full of delicious apples and I can walk right outside my door and pick just the right one for Brody's lunchbox every day!
Easy Apple Dip
8 oz soy cream cheese
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
sprinkle of cinnamon
Cream together brown sugar and cream cheese, then mix in vanilla and cinnamon. Chill for about an hour. Enjoy with apple slices or other fruit!
I am the mom of 2 awesome boys. My youngest son has life-threatening food allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish. Both kiddos also have seasonal and environmental allergies, eczema, asthma, and a vision impairment called Ocular Albinism. "Life is a journey, not a destination".
Each year in the US there are approximately 30,000 anaphylactic episodes, involving about 2,000 hospitalizations and 150-200 deaths due to anaphylactic shock.
These pictures only represent a handful of those who have died due to fatal food reactions. To learn more about each individual, please click on the slideshow below. My heart goes out to all of their loved ones!
